As the second of the harvest festivals, Mabon is a time for letting go of things that no longer serve you, and giving thanks for the good things you have (especially the fruits of one’s own labour)! While the name/current iteration originated in the 1970’s (theoretically named for the Welsh Mabinogion), celebrating the Autumn Equinox and the fruits of the harvest is an ancient and almost-universal practice.
